Our Board is accountable for our long-term success. It sets our values and leads our culture.

Our Board delivers First Title’s strategic plan and is responsible for making sure we have the right resources, risk approach, controls, and governance we need to deliver.

Kevin Dick

Chief Executive Officer

Has responsibility for overseeing the company’s strategic plan. He was appointed to the position in 2024 and previously held other senior roles including Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. He has been with the company since 2001 and is a qualified solicitor.

John Maidens

Chair of the Board

A Non-executive Director with over 30 years’ experience in senior insurance roles in the UK, Europe and USA. John is a chartered accountant by profession and joined First Title in 2007.

Ian Turner

Executive Director

Has oversight of the company’s Claims and HR functions and is actively involved in delivering the strategic plan. Ian joined the business in 2000, is a qualified solicitor and had a previous career in banking.

Justin McChesney

Chief Financial Officer

Has responsibility for managing the company’s financial affairs. He has been with the First Title group since 2003, is a chartered accountant and was formerly Group Financial Controller of a FTSE-listed business.

Oliver Bate

Chief Governance Officer

Oversees the Risk, Compliance and Legal departments. He joined First Title in 2010, having previously worked for a leading international law firm. Oliver is a dual-qualified solicitor in England & Wales and the Republic of Ireland.

Antony Brousse

Chief Underwriting Officer

Has responsibility for overseeing the company’s underwriting function. Antony joined First Title in 2008 and has, since then, held various senior underwriting roles within the organisation focusing on UK, European and M&A business lines.

Lance Gibbins

Chair of the Audit Committee

An Independent Non-executive Director, who has held senior executive roles in insurance and reinsurance companies since 2000. Lance is a chartered accountant and has been on the First Title Board since 2017.

Andrew McMahon

Chair of the Risk Committee

An Independent Non-executive Director since 2017. Andrew’s background is in financial services, operating as an Executive Director at Board level and at a senior level in the fields of compliance, risk, financial crime, legal and corporate governance.
